The VeganBottle is “sweeter” than any plastic bottle.

In just one year, we used over 50 billion single-use water bottles. Each one of those bottles will take 450 years to decompose. This is not sustainable. But that’s why we have companies like VeganBottle. They are out to change the game with a bottle that can decompose in just 2 years..

What’s it made out of?

The one behind this is Nicolas Moufflet from France. He is an entrepreneur and a package designer. He set out to replace your water bottle with a “sweeter” one.

Though the complete formula has been kept secret, Nicolas has put light on the fact that it is made out of sugar cane which doesn’t require much water to produce and is also not an invasive plant and the bottle is 100% Biodegradable.

The only downfall may be that its shelf life isn’t too long since it only takes 2 years to decompose once set out in nature, but they don’t worry too much about that since most are used quite quickly.

Where can we find this type of bottle

The bottle has been used for everything from regular water bottles to juice bars to herbs and spices. Like I said earlier, they try to stay away from any products that have a really long shelf life because how short its life is .

How likely are these bottles to replace most single - use bottles?

Right now it seems like an unsure path. But like everything, there is more than one working on solutions. Cove is another company working on 100% biodegradable bottles. So we should have faith in the fact that VeganBottle is not alone in this battle against plastic waste.

Whether it’s VeganBottle or another company or even a mix, the design and production of these environmental friendly bottles will play a huge part in reducing plastic waste as well as maintaining the convenience of a single use bottle.

Any other companies that you know doing the same, Share with us in the comments! We’d love to hear about them!
